Compliance with best practice guidelines on publication ethics: Where does Pharmactuel stand? A case study

Background: The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) are two internationally recognised organisations in field publication ethics. Guidelines from these were updated 2018. Obj ectives: To assess extent to which journal P h a r ma ctuel is compliant with guidelines ethics by ICMJE COPE 2018 and, where found  wanting, take necessary steps make it compliant. Methods:   A list criteria – 56 22 was compiled. In January 2020, compliance each evaluated editor-in-chief validated all six associate editors. evaluation followed an action plan improve compliance, repeated November 2020. Results: Of criteria, fully 31 partly 10 (a rate 73%, taking together). corresponding figures for 17, 3, 91%. By modifying its editorial policies, training editors, creating appropriate board achieved almost 100% end Conclusions: has been recommendations since 2021. Minor modifications ’s process have enabled team ensure that continues be totally uphold high ethical standards.
